1. Who we are

"Paidotopia", "we", "us" refers to the operator of paidotopia.com and paidotopia.cy, a curated bilingual directory of kid-friendly venues, parks, classes, and family activities across Cyprus. If you operate Paidotopia through a registered legal entity, insert the company name, registration number, and registered address here.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Paidotopia — whether as a visitor, registered user, or venue operator — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform. We may update these terms periodically; continued use after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. Nature of the service

Paidotopia is an informational directory. We provide curated listings, editorial content, maps, and a newsletter for families seeking child-friendly venues in Cyprus. We are not a booking agent, tour operator, ticket vendor, or venue operator. We do not sell access to third-party venues.

Venue details — including hours, admission prices, age suitability, accessibility features, safety measures, and availability — are subject to change without notice. Always confirm details directly with the venue before travelling. We accept no responsibility for reliance on information that proves to be out of date or inaccurate.

4. Accuracy and content

Listings may contain text, images, and map data sourced from venue operators, public records, or aggregated third-party databases. While we endeavour to keep information accurate, we make no warranty — express or implied — that any listing is complete, current, or free from error.

If you believe any material is factually inaccurate, misleading, or infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello@paidotopia.com with sufficient detail for us to investigate. We will review and, where appropriate, correct or remove the relevant content.

5. Permitted use and prohibited conduct

You may use Paidotopia for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

— scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content in a manner that could harm or overload our systems, or that is not expressly permitted by us; — reproduce, republish, or redistribute listings or editorial content commercially without our prior written consent; — transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or advertising to other users; — distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to our systems; — impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with us; — use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, including those of the Republic of Cyprus and the European Union; or — engage in conduct that could harm, intimidate, or distress other users or families using the platform.

6. User-submitted content

Paidotopia allows venue operators and community members to submit listings, corrections, reviews, and other content ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you confirm that:

— you have all necessary rights to submit and share the content; — the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading; — the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; and — the content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, harmful, or inappropriate material — particularly material that could put children at risk.

By submitting User Content, you grant Paidotopia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, edit for clarity, moderate, translate, and redistribute the content for the purpose of operating and promoting the directory. You retain ownership of your content. We may remove any User Content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

7. Intellectual property

All original content, design, code, and editorial material on Paidotopia — excluding User Content and third-party data — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property law, including the Copyright and Related Rights Law of Cyprus (Law 59/1976, as amended) and relevant EU directives. You may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute our proprietary content without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The platform and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paidotopia and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss — including loss of data, revenue, or profit — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform, or from reliance on any listing, editorial content, or third-party venue. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed €100 (or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, if any, whichever is greater). Some EU member state jurisdictions do not permit exclusion or limitation of certain implied terms; in such cases these limitations apply only to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Third-party links and venues

Paidotopia contains links to third-party websites and references to third-party venues. We have no control over third-party content, policies, or practices. Links do not constitute endorsement. Your interactions with third-party venues — including any incident, injury, or dispute — are solely between you and that third party.

11. Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you family-activity recommendations for Cyprus by email. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. We process your email address in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable EU data protection law, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

12. Children's safety

Paidotopia is designed to help families find safe, enjoyable activities for children. We are not responsible for safety conditions at any listed venue. Parents and guardians remain solely responsible for assessing the suitability and safety of any activity or venue for their children. If you encounter any listing or content that you believe poses a safety risk to children, please contact us immediately.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Courts of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the law of your EU member state of habitual residence.
